Our team can help you with this, by carrying out an assessment of the indoor air quality in your living, working or other environment.
We offer a variety of tests for all kinds of contaminants, such as: mould, bacteria, asbestos, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, total dust and many other contaminants.
Trust our professionals for your pre-purchase inspections, the verification of the presence of biological or chemical contaminants in your ambient air or other.
Our expertise includes visual inspections, sampling of air and ∕ or bulk materials, measurement of temperature, relative humidity, dew point, thermography, and many others.
Have the quality of your indoor air checked by contacting our multidisciplinary team of competent and experienced professionals.
It is important that workers can perform their respective tasks in a healthy and safe environment. Employers have the responsibility and the obligation to provide them workplaces that guarantee their safety, physical integrity and health. (Part II of the Canadian Labor Code, Regulation respecting occupational health and safety in Quebec (RROHS)).
Articles 41 and 45 of the RROHS stress the importance of keeping the concentrations of the various contaminants to which workers are exposed below the recommended thresholds.
Article 41: “… any establishment whose operation could cause the emission of gases, dusts, fumes, vapours and mists into the work area shall be operated so that the concentration of any gas, dust, fume, vapour or mist does not exceed, in the respiratory zone of the workers, the standards provided for in Schedule I for any time period specified therein.… “.
Article 43: “…In any establishment that employs 50 workers or more where the concentration of gases, dusts, fumes, vapours or mists at a work location exceeds or could exceed the standards prescribed in Schedule I, the concentration of such gases,
dusts, fumes, vapours or mists emitted into the work environment concerned shall be measured at least once a year, in compliance with paragraph 1 of section 44 … “.
We offer a multitude of tests, including the evaluation of physical contaminants, such as noise, lighting and vibration and chemical contaminants, such as: total dust, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, crystalline silica, volatile organic compounds, asbestos,… etc. We can also assess thermal stresses, Cleanliness and many other parameters that can impact your work environments.
Our field of expertise includes the Occupational Hygiene component as well as that of occupational health and safety and ventilation. Our professionals will help you comply with applicable standards and regulations.
We are continually updating our knowledges, in regard to the standards, regulations and sampling protocols published by the various competent authorities, such as: Regulation respecting occupational health and safety in Quebec, the CNESST (The Standards Commission, equity, occupational health and safety), the IRSST (Robert-Sauvé research institute in occupational health and safety). Our devices are inspected and calibrated on a regular basis.
In controlled environments, HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters are typically installed to provide good filtration of particles of the air, down to a size as small as 0.3 microns, with an efficiency of up to 99.97%. If the latter are installed improperly or if their integrity is compromised, they will no longer be able to ensure optimal filtration of the latter, which could contaminate aseptic environments and have serious consequences on air quality, as well as quality of products manufactured in this kind of environment.
Please do not hesitate to contact us to test the integrity of your HEPA filters. Whether it’s for your air purification units, used in your cleaning and decontamination projects or your cleanrooms, our technicians can offer you this service, according to your needs.
Our staff have been trained with major certification bodies like the NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) and others.
This type of test is conducted according to the standards of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and ISO 14644-3 for cleanrooms.
The test consists of introducing a PAO (Poly Alpha Olefin) type oil in the form of aerosols upstream of the filter and scanning the number of particles (equal to or greater than 0.3 microns) passing through the filter, downstream of the latter.
Our equipments are regularly calibrated and well maintained.
A cleanroom is a controlled environment whose particles suspended in the ambient air and certain parameters must comply with standards established by the competent authorities, such as: FDA Asepetic processing. 2004, IEST-RP-cc034.4, ISO 14644-1,… etc.
Our staff includes occupational hygienists and ventilation professionals. We have trained with a major certification bodies such as the NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) and others.
We can conduct a variety of tests for you:
-Verification of the integrity of HEPA filters.
-Classification of cleanrooms.
-Evaluation of the air change rate ∕ Hour (volume flow).
-Evaluation of particulate concentrations.
-Measurement of temperature and relative humidity.
-Measurements of pressure differentials between different rooms.
-Lightness measurement.
-Measurement of noise.
-Smoke test.
-Evaluation of viable particles.
Our equipments are regularly calibrated and well maintained.
Over time, all kinds of biological and chemical contaminants build up in your ventilation systems. This can negatively impact the quality of the indoor air you breathe and can affect your health. Regular maintenance of these systems is essential to improve your indoor air quality. Our technicians can assess the cleanliness of your ventilation ducts by visually inspecting them, accessing them through existing access doors. Access doors can be installed by our technicians, if necessary. The cleanliness assessment can also be done by sampling and gravity-type analysis. The latter can determine the need for triggering cleaning of ventilation ducts. It can also be carried out, following a cleaning of these systems, to confirm the effectiveness of the latter. This will be done according to the current standards (NADCA: National Air Duct Cleaners Association or IRSST: Robert-Sauvé Research Institute in Occupational Health and Safety) and this according to the client’s needs.
